- I'm a "Cucaro"-ceramist from Faenza, Italy. Recently I moved to Austria and I opened a Keramik studio in Wien. I'm specialized in Okarinas and Clay Whistles. Saying the truth I make only Okarinas and Clay Whistles so in Italy my work is named "cucaro" that's to say "Claywhistle maker". The materials I use are different kinds of clay fired to high temperature always higher than 1200°. My works are all single pieces because I don't use any kind of form to repeat the same work. My repertoire goes from the traditional clay whistles (animals, farm-animal, birds,etc.) to the satyrical whistles (napoleonic,asburg soldiers) until my more personal works inspired by the most ancient meanings of the clay whistles tradition. These are often connected to rituals of fertility and reborning traditional uses.
